Hi Folks,

I found an old (in perfect condition) 2x converter for a Sony Video 8camera. Fortunately it has a 52mm thread so I could connect it to my 6490 as I use a55mm/52mm stepdown ring.

My question ; Is it true thatvignetting occursat standard wide angle setting and then as one zooms in a little the vignetting disappears. With this 2x converterthis is the case.

Moreover is it advisable to use this 2x converter from Sony on a Kodak

This Sony 2x extender is called VCL-R2052. For folks who might have one......

Thanks in advance for your opnions and ideas.

Yes zooming out will cause vignetting,,,,can`t see why you can`t use it,,unless it affects lense operation on the 6490/7590...i use the OLY TCON17 and it works fine on my 6490,,,kodak does not make a tele add-on for these cameras for reasons no one really knows,,i think kodak could sell a lot if they did...
