hello.this is my 1st post here.slight problem i think.i did not know when purchasing the camera, that the format for movies was .mov-quicktime-YUCK.as i refuse to install quicktime on my computer,my only alternative was to install quicktime alternative 1.40.basically allows you to play .mov files in windows media player.

is there any way to change the default properties of kodaks movie clips to .avi.

i want to send some short clips to people, but why should they have to have another piece of software installed-quicktime,just to see the clips.

thank you for your help and look forward to spending some time around here.

looks to be a very helpful, informative place

Hi there,

I found the same problem. I downloaded RAD video tools free on the web and that enables us to convert the .MOV files to .AVI. You can get it from here

http://www.radgametools.com/default.htm

download the bink video and you will get what you need.

hope this helps.
