Hi all and thanks for the help that everyone has given me so far. My question is what are the best settings to use for scenic nightshots and to try to take photos of a lightning storm? will burst mode work at night etc. Any help would be great in trying to acomplish this. Warning though, I am very new to all this and thanks for any help this excellent forum may offer

Use the fireworks mode for the lightning shots,,,,,use of a tripod is manditory at these shutter speeds though...
