I am looking to purchase the cx 7530 but I hear the battery life is pretty bad. Any truth to that? Any response would be greatly appreciated thanx.

Only if you use the batteries that came with camera. They only lasted about 4 days:-) But I got the Kodak rechargable ones and they are pretty good.I know there is other type of rechargables out there. But the store was busy and they were in a bad spot. So couldn't really look at them

But get the camera, that's one I got last month. Takes wonderful pictures. It's easy to use. I'm now fiddling with changing some the settings. Plus having a ton of fun.

Thanx for your info Lurker. The reason I asked about the batteries was because some dude on epinions said he only got 20 to 30 pictures on nimh batteries, I was thinking that was wrong, because most cameras of this size usually get at least 100 pictures on a set of nimh, depending on flash or not.
