I know that theoretically vignetting will be worse using a 52mm filter as opposed to a 55mm filter.Since the choice and range of filters available in 52mm seems so much more than with 55mm I am tempted to go with the 52mm adapter.

Is there anyone out there using a 52mm polarizing filter with a 52mm adapter tube - if so how bad is the vignetting. It's unlikely I will use teleconverters - my main interest is filters.

I had both with my old 6490 and found that at wide angle with a polariser there was slight vignetting, but a little zoom cured that.
The main problem was when I picked up a wide angle lens for it, then it soon became obvious that I needed the 55mm version.

Also the Kodak adapter is a far better fit on the cameras threads, just give them a bell and they will post one to your door in a day.

Yes i got the 52mm adapter from Paul when he got the 55mm adapter,,,i found that the threads were short and barely screwed into the DC,,so beware of that,,,,,make sure it will screw in more than the 2 threads i had,,,the kodak adapter i bought after at 55mm works perfectly....

Kodak 55mm all the way

I had one for a while...worked flawlessly with a dx7590 I borrowed.
