Will the schnieder lens adapter for the 6490 and the 7590 work on the 7440. My daughter just bought one and would like to know.

Dawg,

I just went to the Kodak site and it looks as though the 7440 takes a different adaptor than the 6490. It says it is a 37mm

Thanks Bob. Guess I'll have to look around to see what else is out there.

Here is the link for the lens adapter that you are looking for. This will give you the part number and retail price and you can compare prices and order by entering the catalog number for the adapter in a search engine.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Aaron, I'm headed there right now. I'm glad to see that someone from Kodak is looking in on this forum.

I just ordered one online for just under $20 shipped. I don't have the link to the place here but I can post it up at work tuesday for you. Shipped same day and they listed it still in stock I think.

Indiana is alright. BobMevis is from there and he's alright maybe others are. Thanks again Troy I'll relay that info to my daughter right away. The pics, as sorry as they are, I've taken, convinced her to look again at Kodak. I for one am glad she did. For the money I don't think they can be beat. Now I'm trying to convince her that a lens adapter and UV filter would be a good investment to protect her camera. I hope she'll listen.
