Help us out -supply some URLs - I searched on Google groups (where I'd expect to find a lot of complaints) and can find a bunch of references to a firmware update.. It seems to solve some error or other... at least people don't come back to crab about not being able to update the camera or that the camera is still broken.

But no widespread failure info. In fact, it seems like fewer complaints than with some Fujifilm or Canon models.

You have done the firmware update, right?

I've been using Kodak cameras for many years and have had only very minor problems that were easily fixed by myself. Most of my problems have come under the classification of 'Operator Error' (LOL)

I'm a decorated Police Officer who NEVER lies ...
Kodak has a problem and I'm just doing my small
part to make the public aware before they buy ...
I am heart sick over losing this camera,

I HAVE CONTACTED KODAK ... they want $150.00 plus $35 S&H to
repair a $400.00 plus camera less than 3 years old ...

I'm just trying to let people know what they are spending
their hard earned money on and you people jump down
my throat ...

PS Going Above and Be On the call ... or you don't think
running into a burning building is anything special

A decorated PROFESSIONAL would NOT resort to going on a forum in this manner....so i doubt your a professional....:!:
Seems like a resonable fee to repair a camera that probably served you well,,just because it didn`t last forever is no reason for a post like this.....:?

You are here for 1 reason only,,,,,to stir up trouble,,,and probably own a canon or something....

If it`s so well documented that kodak is not good then you needn`t add further as we would already know this....
:O

Look at this from this view,,,if you bought a car and drove it for 3 years,,then it broke down,,,do you think the dealer should fix it for free ???????....

Things break,,,,,if under warranty then great,,,if not then you pay to fix it....sounds reasonable to me.....kodak has always treated anyone i`ve known very good,,,if the camera was out of date they even offered to give them a newer model for that 150 bucks.....they expressed out a lense cap to me when it broke on my 6490,,,,cost them almost 20 bucks on the shipping alone from the U.S. to me by same day courier....that`s good treatment under their warranty program,,kodak is selling cameras like crazy and taking the market by storm,,,i`ve seen more people purchase the 7590 than any camera in the time i`ve been on 3 forums,,,and not 1 person didn`t get treated fairly when the need came to be...

I f you expected to come here and everyone agree with you,,you are wrong,,,,,,camera lovers are on this forum,,,,not just people with one kodak,,,we know what we bought too....
