Here`s what we were up to today,,,,decided to hike a trail and found the eagle nearby resting in a tree,,,i`ve captured him with the 6490 before,,,but not with the Tcon17 lense attached,,,and i`m by no means done with him yet,,,i plan on building a portable blind to go after him properly this summer,,,with this camera and possibly a DSLR with a 50-500 lense,,,any way,,so here`s what happened,,i saw him this time about 1000 yards out across from a gravel pit,,,i just walked slowly right at him at clicked away,,you`ll see my progression in the pics that follow...this was fun to the max...

if you don`t have this lense yet,,,get it,,,and learn PASM ..

These next 2 shots i`m not real impressed with,,,but he was on the "wing" so to speak so i didn`t really expect perfection either,,,,i`d have to have a dslr with a better lense combo to get better i think at this far away.....

Thanks guys,,you`ll see my progression to insanity with these birds this summer,,i`m going to go full commando nuts till i get sick of them,,or actually get the pic i want (not likely to happen as i`m too picky),,,,,

Hey Dave,,have you got any pics of bald eagles,,i see your avatar is one,,,,

I can tell you this,,,i got far closer last year,,about 30 feet away,,quite a rush,,wait till i get that close with the tcon this year,,lol,,,,should get some smokin nice pics then..
