This was an attempt to photograph a bird in flight..lol..you'd never guess it was a duck.I even did a second take and tried to figure it out after I dloaded to the pc.:?:

Lisa, That is the strangest flying object I have seen. --good shot though...The water comes out good too, did you use a filter?

I think, without ayone gainsaying me, that is the weirdest in flight shot I've seen in many moons!!! Nice shot but different.

Hi Lisa..I don't think it strange or weird....People don't realize how lucky one has to be to get a shot of the very rare multicolored flyingskicap. Congrats, nice shot

Looks like a Teal or a Greenhead (Mallard) Im thinking its the Mallard myself...different shot but nice:-)

Thanks all..lol..it does look like a flyingskicap but everyone know s those have already migrated north...Wagaboo was right...it was a mallard! I took some of the canvasbacks..coots and wood ducks but they all turned out horrible.Al..I didn't use a filter but maybe the early morning light had something to do with making the water appear nice and blue..I didn't even bother editing it as I didn't think I was going to keep it.But maybe now I will just for the novelty of it...lol.

Kashka, i would definately keep the picture, it is different but it is an excellent capture. It's neat just for the novelty of it.

Lisa I think the picture it's self is really good,clear and sharp,even if you can't tell it's a duck .Keep shooting and posting
