Dawg, those are absolutely awesome pics. That first one is exceptional. I think I'd frame that one.

I have a question for all you guys out there. Have you ever seen so many berries on a holly tree in all your life? This thing has put so much into berry production that the leaves are turning yellow a falling!! The limbs are starting to break from the weight. As my wife said " Well I never"

A closer look. It's just amazing to look at! This tree has been here since 1983 and normaly only has a few if any berries. We just ignore it most of the time but this year it kinda grabbed our attention.

What everyone said. Wish I'd had a decent camera last summer on the Outer Banks of North Carolina - saw half a dozen families on a wild horse trek at the far norther reaches, a bit scruffier than yours, but of course nobody curries them.

Were the cropdusters throwing funny chemicals on your hollies, like bovine growth hormones?

I knew one of you would, I just didn't know it'd be you TD! Thanks guys for the comments. I've been trying real hard to get more clarity in my shots, and I think it's starting to work. I really do not have a clue about that holly tree. We always said it'd have to survive on it's own, and never watered or fertilized it. Sure would like to know why though!
