The Ohio Barns site has a database of Mail Pouch (and other brands) barn photos at http://www.ohiobarns.com/mpbarns/locat/location.html

You have to know the county (and naturally, the state) where the barn is located...

There are two pix of the barn that Bob Mevis captured-- see this thread:

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=18

One of the OhioBarn photos has a shot of "Bob's Barn" showing it badly weathered, so someone has done a new paint job, bird included.

Dave
p.s. - found this site w/a slide show of Harley Warrick, last of the MP barn painters, painting a barn at 70+ years. Click on the pictures on the left. http://www.ohiokids.org/tz/sep02-image.shtml

Nice shot, Sandy, thanks for sharingI really like those old barns. There used to be alot of them around here. I can't believe I never thought to google them.

Thanks for the links, DG. That will keep me reading for awhile. I did read an article once about Harley Warrick, I believe it might have been in a newspaper or something.

Dan, diversity is the name of the game, LOL. See, this is what makes this hobby so much fun. You start out talking cameras and next thing you know,we all know what each others back yards look like....wich reminds me, gotta throw the junk in the barn, LOL.

yeah, Dawg. generations of people were educated behind barns and tool sheds. I think society might benefit by going back to those type of open airschool rooms. Remember the 4 r's...reading, riting, rithmatic and ripping a hickory switch off the tree.
