Thanks for the test bigdawg. Do you find that the flash fires consistently with camera's flash? I've read that it doesn't need a cord. I need a flash with some range. I take a lot of group pictures beyond the range of the 6490.

If there is any lag time I haven't been able to see any. There was no trouble with the flash not firing. It fires consistantly inside with the lights on or outside when you can't even see the hand in front of your face. The only drawback I can see would be in a situation where a lot of flashes were firing, then one or more of them might be read by the flash sensor as your flash and go off. It has an intelligent sensor that you teach by test firing your flash. This teaches it to recognize yours from others.

I've got one of those slave flashes here, don't forget to increase your ISO's to get more range.
