Paul it will keep the sun and other reflectionsoff your lens.Do you really need it?... once in awhileis my opinion...Having said that I want to add that it is a good lens protector, helps a lot in that area .

They mainly eliminate Sun flare which is when the sun enters the edge of your lens and bounces around off all the lens elements causing those prismatic circles you sometimes see in pics. Some people sweat by them but I guess for five bucks you cant go wrong

They can cause vignetting or a dark circle on the photo if you are using the wide angle setting of the zoom.

I got one on the converter I bought off ebay..haven't used it but I think it looks cool..lol.I'm also wayyy excited..got the email today my TCON has been shipped..any day now..woohoo..:D
