I took these pics to test out autostitch,,a series of 10 pics,handheld, F5.6.

The view is from Birkrigg Common 5mls from my door.The town in the center of the pic is Ulverston,with the start of the Lake District in the background.

The water you see is the estuary leeding to Morcambe Bay and the Irish Sea

I was a little rushed when I was taking these,next time I`ll choose my settings more carefully.

I was checking the consistancy of autostitch over multiple pics,

I tried a large pano last week and it didn`t blend too good,this one seems ok.I only wish I`d of zoomed in a little.

Hi tommysdad;

I don't know if I'd zoom any more on this. The result is quite pleasing as it is; the foreground with the rocks on the right works quite well. If you were to zoom in on this scene, it would be to bring the (cows???) into the foreground. It looks as though Autostitch did a good job with this shot. This is a beautiful scene, certainly deserving of a panorama treatment. Do you mind my asking if this was with the default Autostitch settings, or did you do some tweaking? I find the defaults work well occasionally.

TD -

Very nice indeed. I like the distance -- that is, I wouldn't zoom in. It looks like an area where day trips and exploration would be great.

Beautiful shot TD. It almost seem as if I'm standing there myself viewing that Live. Thanks for a pleasant morning view.

You guys...quit picking on the poor overworked, underpaid postman.He's surely working so much he doesn't even have time to do his own photoshooting

overworked underpaid Dan
