This shot is from 11 photos stitched from AutoStitch. Thanks TD and BigD for the inspiration.

You really get a sense of the span of this bridge. That and the creek bed itself. I wouldn't want to be around when that geologic cross-section floods to the point where the bridge deck can be swept away!

Autostitch has done some sort of number on the right end -- it looks as though it's curving away from us. There's also some kind of exposure glitch at the first pier, where everything goes purple, but that may be due to your extra-hazy day.

How to fix it I don't have a clue. --haven't been able to fathom a thing about any of the Autostitch options. Each parameter is a word in English, but their meanings escape me, and what happens when you change values is beyond me. I guessed at one change a while back and it decided to hammer away at 48 sections (defaults make it 1 or2)until my computer ran out of memory and it jammed.

I think the program makes many assumptions about what it is "seeing," and one may be that all things with straight lines run left to right parallel to the film/sensor plane. At least, the end of the bridge has been warped to look as though it runs left to right, rather than obliquely away.

Ahhh...fishhook bridge, LOL.

Seriously Ed, that's a great pic. if you could straighten it out, it would be worthy of hanging on a wall.

If that creek bed fills up I would hate to think of the force applied to those bridge piers.

First off it doesn't really need to be straightened out. It really is that crooked on the outside. A few examples as best I can. The front side is bowed out towards you and there is a cable to keep it from moving any more. The Autostitch may have accentuated it a little but very little.

If you follow the roof line in the pano you'll see it is pretty straight and just as it was at the bridge. The bottom on the other hand was bowed out and humped up quite severly, and actually well represented in the pano. Here is some inside shots to show some of the bowing and warping going on. And remember the outside is even worse.
