Here I removed the 198 sunset and put the color on top with the 120 gradual gray.

A very interesting post, ED. Those filters make a real difference. But...you see what youv'e done don't you? Tonto is going to have to get some now. Reach into my pocket again for more photo gear, darn..it never ends, LOL.

Are your filters the Cokin A series, and are all the filters glass?

Bob

p.s. thanks for sharing your results.

Tell the Lone Ranger to quit hoarding all the silver for her bullets, Bob!! LOL The polorizing filter is made of glass, but the colored filters are resin filters. Think plexiglass or lexan. They are not that expensive at about $4.97 each from B&H Photo, or Adorama. They really do make a diff. but also will take some practice to see where they will be most effective.

Glad to see you having fun with your filters.

I have a little tip for you Ed, I noticed your pictures are around the 200+kb file size, if you have Window$ XP there is a very handy resizer power toy that will get those puppies loaded faster.

If you use an older version of Window$, then give Irfanview a go.

I had a quick play with one of your shots Ed, but the frame was a casualty, so I replaced it with one from stock.

144kb this time.

Edit, needed to stamp Dawg's mark on pic.

Thanks Paul, I'll have to give that program a try. As you can see by the time stamps it took about 45 minutes to upload these. I also like what you did with the frame. That makes it look a lot more impressive.

Paul, I downloaded it. tryed it. and love it!! Many thanks for all the help you've given. The Cokin filters are a great asset, but will take me a little while to learn when to use what. Pardon all the artsie F...sie ones, but they are fun to play with.

A lot of fun Dan. And the fun continues by sharing them and the effort with some friends.
