Wife couldn't wait for me to take these. The plants belonged to her Dad and are lovingly tended to!

These were taken in PASM A-mode and reworked in Photoshop Elements. Auto level, Auto contrast and Unsharp Mask. The frames are a one click effect in PSE.

The color of the frames are taken from the photos as well as the text color, all picked out by the wife. I hope they meet with everyones approval.

I'm truly sorry if I've bored anyone with these but the wife had as much fun doing these as I've ever had posting here. And she's the only reason for my happiness! I could not refuse her.

Boring? Not in the least.

Speak of boring (insects, anyway), if you would, ask the former Miss Halcomb how in the heck she keeps critters off these lilies. We inherited a bunch of them when we bought our house, but despite sprays, picking bugs and our god-awful weather, the bugs eat the bejesus out of them.

Every two years or so one of them keeps leaves on it longenough to bloom. They are incredible plants.

Dave, she says no bug spray or picking bugs. The main thing she does is weed them and mow close. That's it. I guess his spirit guards over them. Mayfield had these all around their house it looked like the foundation had been painted when they bloomed. What he told her was if you spray for bugs you can kill the good with the bad.
