Thanks for the comments, guys.

Sandy, I didn't use the TCON. I tried zooming all the way in with optical zoom on one and the LCD about blinded me. I suppose if you had enough distance it would work.

Tsims, I used Brian's suggestions. Manual mode, F-5.6, Shutter 2.0 seconds, ISO 100 and used Landscape mode.

I can't wait until the next time.

Bob, great shots.
I don't know about you but I lost a little bit of myselftaking pictures last night, the mosquitoes were out in force. But, I'll be back out there next year and look forward to all the great fireworks shots and mybe some new tips.

Thanks, Steve. Sorry to hear about the mosquitos. We are in a drought here so I think I've only seen 3 or 4 of them here. we have a local festival on Labor Day here and they always put on a really good fireworks show, so I'm hoping to get some shots then.

Dan, I've been there a time or two, LOL. So much Beer and so little time.

I`m doin some recon at the moment,there`s an airshow in town on the 16th,just tryin to find the best position to be in.

I can be on the ground at the airfield,or I can be on a hill directly under the landing flightpath.I may do both, but the airfield can be reached from the hill with the TCON.

I will post some scouting pics later for some input from you guys.
