Hi all. tried my hand at shooting fireworks tonight. unfortunately it was raining so I was more worried about keeping the 6490 dry than concentrating on the shots. I did get a few though. Many thanks to Brian and tsims for the camera settings. Manual mode F5.6 and shutter speed of 2 seconds and landscape mode. I was gonna try 1 or 1.5 shutter speed but because of the rain I didn't. You can see raindrops in a couple of these shots. I'm gonna scout a better location for next year as these were barely above tree top level and I had power lines too.
