Hung a Hummingbird feeder up Sunday and already have a greedy little guy hanging around. I know these arn't technically very good shots, but I just had to share. Both were shot thru a window.Does anybody know what kind of Hummer this is?

It's a male Ruby-throated.

Great shots Bob.

I'm jealous - I hung my feeder 2 weeks ago and saw one fly up to it and then fly away (no camera) on Sunday, nothing since.

Thanks Steve. My Wife told me shahad seen one, so I hung the feeder in the location she saw it in and got lucky.

Here's a shot of the same bird a little later. I walked around the corner of the house and was literally about 4 foot from him, luckily i had just put my flash unit on the camera. Something about watching birds, it just relaxes a person.

Bob

p.s....I gotta tell you, I was gettingaggravated when I was taking the pics earlier, because of the lag time on the camera...then it finally dawned on me, you dumb indian, you have a burst mode, LOL:crazy:

I expected to see a SUV on steroids and get a bird in miniature instead!!! Not disappointed though, Bob. Nice shots. If you put a feeder up around here right now the yellow jackets will swarm it!! Have to wait for the early fall and drier weather. Gotta duck now, Dennis is headed our way. The thrill of living in a Gulf state!! LOL
