Caught these 2 Buddist monks at the beach, unlikley location for a couple of monks I here you say?. Their place is at a Priory situated on the shoreline. They are a friendly bunch and often stop and chat.(I walk through the priory grounds quite often)

we were sunning ourselves on the beach ,I noticed them in the heat haze and grabbed my 6490.Polariser was used, notice the variation in colour in relation to the sun as they approached and I shifted position.

A mode.Landscape setting.

I was pleased with the way these turned out,I liked the colour of their robes against the clouds and landscape

Great Shots, TD. I like the 2nd one the best. The clouds look pretty cool.

Thanks steve,I like the first where I caught them in the haze

when I saw them it reminded me of the 70s TV series Kung Fu with David Carradine:G

Never thought of you as having Buddist monks over there TD. Nice pics, I like the angle. Think I like the 2nd one best, looks like he is assesing the threat value, LOL.

Very nice shots, TD. For me, it's a toss up between #1 and #2. (The Kung Fu thing, you know.:-)) The effect in #3 is a little wierd, as it's difficult to distinguish the figures.

A very pleasing series.

Beautiful shots TD!..I really like the first one..the background is wonderful. It looks like they have been walking a great distance but unawares as they seem so engrossed in conversation.

As I've been involved with Chinese martial arts for ovr 25 years, as student, practitioner and teacher, I am looking forward to more on the Budist at the priory you mentioned. I liked the shots of the monks that you took and would be very interested in more such shots.
