If you use EasyShare 5.0 to edit a movie taken by V550 (trim away some frames), and then copy the edited movie back to V550, it will be shown as "Unrecognized File Format" by the "Review" function of V550.

This would prevent the idea of using the very good 2.5" hi-res LCD of the V550 as a convenient album.

Anybody still has ES 4.0 and would you pls verify if the problem had been there before 5.0? I just wanted to have an idea if it is known problem, or just because 5.0 is still beta.

p.s.

This is the 2nd bug I found, in addition to my earlier post about ES 5.0 being unable to save > 10MB mpeg-4 movies as AVI.

Sorry I didn't make it clear.

As the title suggests - I use EasyShare 5.0 itself to edit the movies.

ES 5.0 is downloadable from Kodak website upon product (V550) registration

p.s.

Just corrected the above posting.

To be honest, I don't think Win98 is powerful enough to edit MPEG-4 movies
