It really is worth it, even though it is pricey. It opens up a whole new world with these cameras.

I risked a decapitation ( mine ) to get one! I think I'll enjoy mine better with my head instead of without. It's worth the money though Sandy. There are just some places and happenings you can't physically get close enough to without endangering your life or losing the shot unless you have a teleconvertor!!! Don't get me wrong, you can still get great shots without one it's just that some will never be quite as closeup with out it. For instance the first moon shot of yours is really a nice shot but if you'd had a tele lense the details of that moon would have stood out. Not neccessarily a better shot just a different one that you can't get with out the tele!

Great shot shots, Sandy. I agree with Bob about the composition, it really makes them stand out.

Looks like you are getting the same kind of weather we are here, hot and muggy, with lots of haze.
