I spent some time at out local Zoo yesterday and had to take a few shots of the Alligator's. All in auto, some cropping.

Sandy, Gators are really docile animals as long as you stay clear of the tail and teeth! Mama gators with a nest near by are the only ones that are aggressive.

Nice closeups there Steve.

That's why I called it for Marilyn, she got right out there with one - I know zoom helped, but I'm nit sure I could've done it.

Thanks for that closeup. What is really scary here in Florida is that they wander around so freely. Hunters use to be able to kill them which kept them somewhat under control. Since there is a ban on killing them they have really multiplied. The state does allow a special hunt every so often but not often enough for me. On top of that now people have brought crocks here from other countries and they are multiplying.

You done some gator wrestling in your time Dawg ?:G

Also ,if you find yourelf accidently swimming with a gator, DON`T SPLASH, they respond to the splashing.

Who said watchin the discovery channel was a waste of time.
