I've been thinking about getting these but would like some opinions as to how well they will work,if they are what I need, just some honest opinions

B+w 55mm digital pro skylight,1A,multi coated (2c) glass filter (KR1.5) $39.95

Tiffen 55mm CP-glass $29.95

I tried to copy and paste the information here but for some reason I couldn't do it.

I found these at adorama.com

I've always used a skylight/UV filter. I use a glassTiffen 81a now. Acutally I forgot what my pics look like without the UV filter. (LOL) Cokin filters manualsays that photos pick up mostly blue casts do to UV rays and that a skylight filter eliminates and clarifies misty views. Well that's what they say. (lol)

Before you buy check out bhphotovideo.com and E-bay. I just bought aound 16very clean great looking filters on Ebay forjust over $35 (shipping included). The 55MM Tiffen I'm using now was one of them. 2 sets of magnifiers (Tiffen and Vivitar)and several real nice Cokin filters that I was looking for.

Good luck

Sandy, B&H also sells used filters and rates them as to condition. My skylite 1-A and my CP filter are both Tiffen and used. They were rated as " shows signs of use but no apparent scratches. They were right on both filters. In original box and as good as new.
Look here:

Or here for cp filters.

If those don't work go here for the home page and search for filters in the side menu.

Sandy they would work very good for you. Bhphoto lists the B+W filter for 32.95, though the tiffen is about $5 more than adorama. Like Dave, I've bought mine off Ebay a lot cheaper if you're not in a hurry
