I promised some shots taken on Sebastion Island and Here they are. Forgive my dad for the quality but it was just an old box camera. The first one is a shot of the fishing camp.

This is my granddad, Pop Skinner aka Winfield Woolf Skinner Jr. This was taken in 1955 when Pop was about 67 years old and still fishing every day.

This is a shot of Happy Landings fishing camp from the new blacktop, looking towards the Indian River. The camp was about halfway between Sebastian and Sebastian inlet. No bridge across the inlet back then!

Dawg, it looks like the set of To Kill a Mockingbird. '55 was a good year. Thanks for posting!

Thanks guys. Tom '55 was a good year. We still were in the slow graceful years and rock and roll was just starting. I wouldn't want to go back, but I'm glad I was there. TD I've got a few more of Pop. In almost all of them there is a stringer of fish or some raccons or birds. As I said he loved to hunt and fish. His favorite way to hunt Doves, was to wait until they were grouped on the power lines then shoot them with a 12 ga. shotgun. This did not make him popular with the local power company!!! LOL
