Here you are TD!!! Lol He could catch fish. He also loved his cats! The first one is with a client named James A. Cox from Valpariso Indiana. I think I spelled that right!

This photo is with a Cuban fellow that hand rolled cigars. Pop traded with him Fishing for the cigars. Pop was never out of cigars.

Pop was a WWI vetran and had a masters in Electrical engineering. He fished and hunted so much he couldn't keep a job. When his mother-in-law moved in she gave him H__ll from breakfast to bed time. So he finally moved out and went to Florida. My Great Grandmother McCabe, His mother-in-law, swore to out live him so she could spit on his grave. She lived to the age of 96 and died one year to the day before he did!!!

This is the Quintessential Pop. Unless there were clients in the camp, you'd find him dressed like this. His cabin was called Rest Assured. I loved him, and found him a fount of common sense knowledge. My dad never really forgave him for leaving his family in the heart of the depression, or for the drinking and smoking!! My dad one time told me I was beginning to favor Pop a lot. Probably so. Not only in looks but the drinking and cigars. I just didn't let my mother-in -law move in with me. That was my saving Grace!!! LOL

Thanks Dawg, I really enjoyed these old photos...funny thing...my mother-in-law's name is also McCabe and she just turned 89...I don't plan to let her move in but she's miserable enough to outlive me I'm sure
