I've walked near these trees but didn't realize how big their diameter was until they were cut down.

and you wouldnt relaize how big around it was with out her next to it

if you count the rings it will tell you how old it is

I put some water on the tree hoping to make the rings more visible. then enlarged it and think maybe 80 years old.

They are getting ready to build something where the trees were and I wondered if anyone knew what these round bundles of straw like material were for?

Nice job, Pablo...I'm only guessing but I've seen stuff like that used around here for erosion control, a lot of bare dirt and a fast hard rain can make a real mess
