Was going to bed last night and as i was passing a window i spoted the moon so i took a few minutes in haste to get my first moon shot . Its not a full one and i have some settings to work out .So heres my first.

not bad
a little bright but good shot
try higher f/
or lower shutter speed
a lot better than my first try, a big bright spot surronded by black lol

Thing is i took it so quikly that i did not bother to write down the settings i used . So its back to square one when i get the chance to try and get another lol

Here is my egg I just took. Not as bright as yours, but this one had a haze around it. I also probably need to work on settings.

Did you use digital zoom on yours ? I did not but i used a Tcon.

Marilyn..I think it was hazy all over...plus we had clouds here and out of many many tries I got one tonight.(this thread made me run outside..lol)

Nice eggs.... I Uh mean moon shots everyone!! Knight67 The settings should be on EXIF data still with the photo. I almost never write it down because I can get it from the photo!! Marilyn the haze is probably the reason for the noise on the photo. Also if you use digi-zoom it will put some noise there. Lisa your's is really a good one the clouds give it interest. Keep trying and keep posting. That way we'll all get better!!
