Atta boy, Dawg! Thanks for thowing that out there. I'll get to mine soon enough. I've got a week in British Columbia coming up and my goal is to shoot some film.

Cheers,

You know -- these disposable cameras used to have miserable lenses and pretty iffy exposure, but the pix you took are all fairly well exposed. Only the last two are struggling with focus, but that's because the bar was too close to the lens.

Some interesting angles -- especially like the one where we're sighting down the dragster.

Thanks Dave. I wasn't too sure of the quality of the exposures with this type of camera and unlike a Digi-cam I couldn't review the photo's to see the exposure. So I thought that shots with a little distance and decent composition might make for interesting if not great shots. I did use my Dx6490 as kind of a scout and followed it with the throwawawy. I kinda like most of them and was pleasantly surprised by some of the shots I thought would not turn out at all!

Ed.
Your drag car photo looked better than your 6490 versions, what went wrong with the digital shots eh?

I think my favourite is the second shot, your poor wife must have been getting fed up with you playing with these cameras when there was some serious shopping to be done.

Paul.

Not shopping, Paul. Walking! She hates shopping because that usually means spending money. She hates to spend money. Some of the clothes she's wearing are 10 years old or older. I can't force her to buy things and when I buy them for her she'll take them back and get her money back so she can put it in savings. I love her and saving money is a good idea but she goes to the extreme!!

These are nice shots , Dawg...I'm impressed how good they came out considering I can see they were a lot of different exposures.

You are the first to notice that. I stretched the limits of what you'd normally ask one of these camera's to do just to see if it would perform. It failed on some. It couldn't cope with the darkened woods and stream behind my house and had some trouble whenI pointed it towards the sun a little at the space and rocket center. See my other post for the failures.
