Annual Cicada, found in the same shrub as the spider beasts I posted before. The Cicada is about 3 inches long! EEEEKKKKK!!!

Thats a very good closeup John.I was going to ask Pablo to send his frog up there, but I'm afraid that cicada might eat the frog

It did set me wondering -- do you suppose McDonald's had to pay a lot to put their logo on cicadas?

Did you need earplugs while shooting that one. Down here they call them July Flies and are loud enough to deafen you. Good closeups John!!
