Have you looked at his Photo Gear page - I'd be disapointed if I couldn't get shots that good with the investment he has in his kit !

http://syban.ca/~normcar/gear.htm

I mean - a 200/1.8 !!! - I couldn't find a UK price for that, but the 400/5.6 is £800+, and the 300/4 is £1000...

Trying to match those results with a Kodak, whilst, perhaps, possible, certainly wouldn't be easy...especially from the point of view of throwing backgrounds out of focus.

Just found a price for the 200/1.8

If that doesn't have Dawg drooling 'til he's dehydrated nothing will...

Have a look at these - the spotting scope used isn't cheap, but if you want the best results with your Kodak I think these take a lot of beating !

Per my reply to your other post:

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=18

all those shots were with the TCON, from about 15ft away - I'm working on a setup that will let me get closer with it, so hopefully I can fill the frame with the smaller species - may have to borrow Toms trick with the Close-up lenses for that...

Here's some more with the TCON:

Hope that's not too many for dial-uppers...
