Yes, I grew up in Petawawa and went to school in Pembroke, so it wasn't that far out of the way. My Grandmother grew up in Sheenboro. As a musician in the '70s, I remember playing the last post on Nov 11 in a blinding snowstorm, followed by a somewhat liquid lunch afterwards in the Fort-Coulonge Legion. :-)
