I have one in hand. Anyone else?

I'm hoping for some input on my AF and LCD problems. I found out today that I have no options in the menu for the 'new' Raw and TIFF modes either.

Yes, just got back from Best Buy with the P850 and also got the 4 year service contract with it. I just felt safer getting it, considering this is a new camera.

I've gotthe battery charging right now, and will post more once I've had a chance to go through some of its features and settings. I also just sent an email to Kodak support asking if the camera supports 2GB SD cards.

Thanks Rambler! I'm very much looking forward to your findings.

So far I'm a bit disappointed in the autofocus speed in anything but bright outdoor conditions. I did check display P850's at both BB (where I purchased mine), and at WalMart, and I noticed their displays both flickered like mine does. I also figured out that TIFF and raw are not available in Auto or Scene mode, but seem to be available under Custom and other modes.

Used Macro mode (or tried to) yesterday. I had to use manual focus in order to get the subject focused properly. Auto focus didn't come close.

EDIT: Let me know if you are able to defeat continuous AF in Auto and Scene mode. The continuous AF mode is bound to eat batteries, plus it can be pretty distracting.

Well, I've had a chance to play with the P850 somewhat. This is my first UZ digicam, so I don't really have any comparisons to make. The AF does seem a bit slow (around 1 sec or so), but nothing major IMO. And yes, RAW and TIFF are only available in modes other than Auto, Scene and Movie - not an issue IMO either. You can defeat AF in Auto mode, but not the Scene modes.
