Pablo,
Where these taken at the Coachella Valley Reserve? If so it's only about 15 minutes from me. These California Palms grow only in I think three places in the world. They have a specific high water table to exist. They are found only on an Earthquake Fault to get their water needs. Also if one would remove the dead Frons from the tree, the tree would die. A very unique plant.

Yes Old Jim they were taken at the Coachella Valley Reserve. This is a shot from inside the oasis. And the next shot is taken of a water seep caused by a earthquake fault.
