Well, after reading this post I decided to go to Dell.com and check out the deals on the P880, and yes it is $509, plus shipping and tax. However I wanted to check on availabilty for inmediate shipping so I made a phone call to a representative. The lady that answered was surprisingly helpfull and courteus, she said the P880 was on back order but expected to ship on or before Nov 15th. I said I would give the order some tought and check around other alternatives in case I could find a faster shipping date. To that she responded with an offer I couldnt refuse ( yep.. a la Brando ) She said, "I think I could give you an even better deal than what shows in your dell.com shopping cart" I said Im all ears! She ended up offering the P880 for $449 dlls and free shipping! I said, heck with it! lets doit

So, I should be getting this camera sometime this month ( I hope), if Kodak supplies dell as promised maybe real soon. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I will be checking this thread as well for sample shots from the P880,txs Gang :|

Wll get some pics up. Any requests?

The camera is very easy to use and fun to shoot. Only gripe so far is the manual focus box is useless on the LCD (115K) but work great when viewed thru the EVF.
Oh and all scene modes as well as Auto revert back to standard JPEG, so is your in a hurry for a shot you will not have time to swith to fine. you can program the prog. button to quickly change this though.
