We are still waiting for the P-880 to be released, Broily. In the mean time I am using my Nikon 8400 which produces great wide angle shots.

**FYI for people who like Kodak colors....

Dell has the P880 on sale for $509 now. Use code C0K8VM63KBZ73M (from http://www.techbargains.com) to get an additional $60 off.

***Kodak P880 is the new 8 megapixel 6x wide zoom (24mm) that has RAW and video.
good luck!

If you have already a Nikon 8400, it doesn't make sense to buy the Kodak P880. While the Kodak has a wider tele zoom range and a better movie mode, it lacks a twistable display and a panorama assistent. Both are fundamental assets for a wide angle camera and if you once had a camera with twistable display and a good panorama assistent, you never wonna miss both. Nevertheless it will be interesting to compare the wide angle image quality of both cameras, because Kodak seems to get more and more competitive.

Dell has the P880 on sale for $509 now. Use code C0K8VM63KBZ73M

for an even lower price (about $50 less).

Covertly saving my pennies as we speak. I've got the 6490 for long shots and the 880 will do the wideangle to mid-range quite nicely. Just wish they had given a longer shutter time on it like the 7440's 64 seconds. Other than that it should be the wide to mid range camera I've been looking for! I think I'll wait until it's been in production a while and the price goes down a little.
