I'm glad you understood why I posted those. They are different photo's with different settings. You can given the correct conditions get decent moon photo's at a wide variety of settings. What works tonight might not work tomorrow night! Some nights the sepia tone will give the best results and some nights black and white and other nights color! There are nights that I cannot get a good shot of the moon unless I go to landscape mode and other nights when landscape mode will not allow for a good focus. There are so many variables when taking moon shots that it is more art than cold technical data and settings. I've gotten to where I just play around with it and Bracket Bracket Bracket!! I may have to quit photography as Math was my one subject I hated in school. LOLOL

Dawg - Exactly what kind of PP (post-processing) did you do on those moon shots? Those look excellent!

My shot also had no post-processing done other than cropping the image. I think with some sharpening, my shot could look pretty nice. I'll be getting PhotoShop Elements 4 pretty soon though.
ditto - no post processing on my shots either.

I havePhotoshop 6.0, butprefer ACDSee 8.0 for quick and easy touch ups, like sharpening.
