After much deliberation (and review of the posts in this forum and others), I finally decided to go with the P850. So far, I've been very happy with my choice! I haven't started experimenting with too many of the modes yet (I'm still a relative newbie and have to learn a little more about aperture settings, shutter speeds, etc), but I went over to the museum yesterday to test it out. Overall, I was happy with the results, though I learned that there's only so much the image stabilization feature can do, especially in low light situations. Here are some of my pictures (note: no flash used on any of these).

Ok - just came back from the park with some more photos. These first two show the zoom abilities:

Thanks! I'm sure I will be taking many more photos and will try to post when I can. I don't usually post to message boards, but when I was searching for info on the P850, there wasn't too much information/sample photos out there. Figured I would try to help the cause :-)
