It's a sparrow but not sure what kind it is. I sharpened it via adobe elements 4. This was taken in auto. Now when I take a after lunch photo walk I use shutter preffered and iso 200.

Bill,

Nice shot of the sparrow, the yelllow mark down the center of head makes it stand out. So far I have not been able to get any decent bird shots either they are to far away are fly away before I can get a good shot.

That is the exact reason I got a tele lens for my DX6490! I'm too big to sneak up on a bird so I needed some thing to get closer with out the stalking !! Nice photo Bill!

Good photo!
My book identifies it as a Golden Crowned Sparrow. Not entirely sure about that though as the same book says it is a left coast bird.

gold crown sparrow sounds right but I only found gold crown kinglet in one of my guides.

I have the kodak extender for my dx7440 but find it as much help as a ingrown hair in a boil on my left cheek (you like that one dawg?)

On one site I was telling about a recipe and the censor would not let me write sourkrout, the automation felt it was a ethnick slur.
