Is digiscoping possible with a p850? I was looking at this birding web site and they were taking pics through digiscoping. I was just wondering if this was possible with the p850. These websites were using a Nikon coolpix, but I would love to try.

With the right lens adapter it should be possible!

I wouldn't mind trying, I just wish I knew where to begin. Looks like I'll be scouring the web for info and ideas.

the web site bird forum is a world wide forum with several threads devoted to digiscoping and links for gear. There is a guy andy from england that formerly used a kowa scope but now uses a zeiss scope. Some of the sharpest images I have ever seen rivaling the best 35mm telephoto images.

Darknite, there is a digiscoping forum right here on Steve's, its a ways down the list , near the bottom. In case you didn't see it before. Can be a real expensive hobby:!:

Thanks Dan. I've scrolled down before but never noticed the topic being listed. I agree it can be an expensive hobby, but if I can get it to work it will be an enjoyable hobby.
