Hi everyone,

I've been lurking for a few days and just picked up a P880. Thanks to everyone for their opinions and insight. What attracted me to the P880 is the 24mm lens. I'm a real estate broker and this lens really is useful for capturing room photos. My previous camera only went to around 36mm.

Here's a photo I took of my Sarah in front of our tree. It's kind of an artsy shot. I shot it with a long (4") exposure and zoomed during the capture (thanks manual zoom). To 'lock' Sarah into the shot, I handfired an external flash during the capture.

Cheers, Rich

While I'm in the Christmas mood - here's one more. Shot with a 5" exposure at f5. Using a cross star filter (I love that the 880 takes 52mm filters!). Applied the vignette using software.

Cheers again

Rich

Thanks for the kind words...!

Even though I bought the 880 because of 'work' needs - I've been re-discovering my photo skills from 20 years ago due to all the user variable (read: manual!) settings on the camera. I was astonished today when I put one of my old 52mm filters on it - same size that my Nikons (FE & FM) used to use in the 80's.

Cheers, Rich
