Dropped Kodak DX4900 camera on floor. Everything still works,but now pics come out black on lcd. Any ideas?

Sounds like something became disconnected or broke inside. Do you have the lens cap off? I really don't know what else could be the problem but we'll keep you bumped to the top until someone else answers with a possible solution!

I'm not that familiar with this particular camera, but does it have a automatic lens cover and is it fully retracting?

You say pics are black on lcd...can you see the pics other ways like, on pc, on tv, printing? Can you see anything on lcd, like menus?

Sounds like everything works but the lcd!

A off the wall idea if the lcd pannel is beyond or too costly to repair could be to get a inexpensive mini lcd tv (casio and other make them with about 2" screen and connect to the out put for t.v. (if your camera has on this could be a solution, not familiar with your camera).
