G/F has a DX7590 and has be compaining about poor low light focus (indoor family party pictures etc.)

I remembered reading a thread on the same situation and down loaded the ziped file from kodak but not sure on opening and loading it into camera.

After perching camera on docker and usb cord from camera to p.c. where do I go?

Kodak gives option to do via easy share, would it be easier to down load V5.0x update to easy share first????

I ordered the z7590 which has no kodak up dates so I assume focus problem has been rectified in this model.

Have not seen a "Dummies Guide to Histograms" on line. Will wait for instruction book with camera to read up on applications.

If you have Firmware version 1.0100 you have the new version. If you do not you need to dl it from KODAK. First print the diretions then do the download. I did not and still do not have the easyshare 5.0 blah blah blah software. I have the old easyshare 1.2.1 it went right in.

I can only speak for the Card Reader method of doing the firmware update on the dx7590 but I found it quite quick and easy.

Bill, follow SW2's advice and print them out. I don't know anyone who likes the easyshare 5x, stick with your older one.

Still wonderin about that name sw2cam- could it be ole Slick Willie is here?
