To those of you who own the Kodak V550, how good is the video quality? I have heard so many differing reviews on this that I thought I needed some more information.

Some reviews say it is bad, while some say it is good. Most user reviews are positives.

But, how sharp is the video? What is the color like?

Thanks!

Roy

Merry X'mas!

I've been using it to take video for over 6 months, virtually replacing my tape DV.

The best video I've seen in DC (of course a bit not comparable with tape DV, but I think the convenience (weight/size, and direct digital file) outweights the minor diff in quality.)

Some may complain the video flow is not smooth on PC, but I found they might be Quciktime problems. FYI I use VLC player.

Kodak is renowned for it's color accuracy (not only v550). Very vivid.

Thanks so much for your reply. I didn't want bad video, so thanks for the help. Some of the video clips online didn't look that great to me, but I think that is part of the process of putting it online perhaps degrading the quality.

Maybe I should just make sure I get it from a store that will take a return in case I don't like it, but most user reviews are very positive.

The video is digital and doesn't lose quality putting it online as long as it is about 500k/sec in size.
