Wow Dawg!..thanks for all those examples..you've been busy...I personally like the bottom one with all the filters..eliminates most of the blue except on the top third.Maybe its my screen but the others still seem to have that blue tinge. The last seems to be the closest to the real thing.I've been playing around with the filters and settings in my program and I can't seem to get rid of the blue..but then again...it could be my laptop's screen. Thanks again for all your advice..I'll see what tomorrow brings with the different aperture setting and the filters.I literally have the blues.. (was gonna insert a blue emoticon but that would have been overkill)

Lisa that graduated coffee Cokin filter can save the day when everythings coming up Blue. It throws in a little bit of brown and separates the top of the photo from the bottom!

Wow thats some frost, Lisa. I find I need at least +1 exp. comp. to keep the snow white. Heres a program Dawg put me onto thats fun and will let you play with various filters.

Thanks Dan..I downloaded this afternoon.I find the yellow filter takes alot of the blue away. I took Dawgs advice and took some shots today..still a bit blue but now with this filter I can keep practicing..:-) (btw..can you see the deer..he was there thru 5 or 6 shots then I finally noticed him when he got up and took off..lol)

Lisa that first one is about right! Not much blue there at all. I did notice the deer before I read about it. The second is a very good capture. They are hard to shoot on the move.

Thankyou Dawg for all your advice..I was really getting close to putting down the camera until spring..now with all your tips and pointers my frustration level has waned and I will keep on shooting..going to work up north (to the land of no internet) in the bush this week so lots of oppurtunity to practice awaits..:-)

Thanks MrB..luckily it isn't cold or I would have given up long ago...Here's a pic I took a couple weeks ago when IT was cold (around -30C)..had to wear mitties for that..lol
