Too many filters wil increase the likelyhood of vignetting. That tunnel effect will kick in at longer zoom ranges than without the filters. Also too many filters puts the weight further out and puts a bigger strain on the Adapter screws! I use a Tiffen Skylite 1-A filter then a Tiffen polorizing filter and then the TCON-17. I have had no problems with these so far other than the afore mentioned vignetting at farther zoom ranges.

These two use that stacked filter setup and have only been resized. I can't see any problems with it. Can you? LOL

That's their beauty and their curse. They stand out so well therefore are easy prey. That is one reason they are so shy! I've got one that shows up every morning when I go outside to smoke!

I sawjust one cardinal in my backyard all summer long.

I rushed to get the camera, and was able toquickly snap a shot.
Then I foundthe exposure compensation had been up all the way (preset from a previous shot, oops).

Right after, he flew away. Talk about paranoid birds.
I can't wait to catch one again next summer.

Itsembarrassing topostthe photo since thequality is so poor, but well here it is anyway:

my one and only cardinal shot
he's a fat one!

He is a fat one. They look kinda fat here but it is the feathers blown out to stay warm. They are very skittish and shy. Not a bad photo at all. Like that feeder is it home made!
