A big thumbs upon the Autostitch program. Too cold for a morning walk this morning ( took the day off to close a bank account and talk to my elder lawliar, I mean lawyer regarding my mothers medicaid eligibility as she will be going into a nursing/rehab place for good). Went to Marine Park Saltmarsh nature Center to see if this Autostitch all its been hyped up to be.

Took 3 quickies to test it out. Wanted to take more but was not sure how long it would take to stitch it together. Will try once more with shutter pref. mode and let loose and take 8 frames.

Did not do any thing with Photo Elements other than crop to a rectangular format. Did not do anything to the edit otions of Autostitch (should I ?)

That row of pilings are part of a grist mill from the 1800's (Geritsens mill).

Cormmorants like to sit on these pilings (during low tide) and hold their wings out like German eagles to let them dry after a dive. These birds do not repel water like ducks.

Hey Dawg!:blah:

Your new avatar looks like a Biker Dawg with goggles (but no helmet)!

P.S.

I have not altered any of the edit options on Autostitch (out of fear screwing things up). If I shoot with a 4 or 5 mega pixel camera to make a 3pannel shot how big a print can I make that will still look good rather than pixelated? If I use my Olympus 2100uz (less than 3 mega pixel) will a 2 or more section picture yield a larger better print than a single shot?
