Well, I've been inspired by BigDawg to try some nighttime 16sec shots..

So heres my first attempt at capturing some stars.. Not sure what I was expecting..

First pic I was just testing settings as an airplane flew thru the shot, neat effect..

Thanks!

At full size I notice some of the stars have a short little tail, almost a blur and all the same direction..

Earths rotation? If thats the case, I would like to see what more then 16s would look like..

Probably so Scoob! try it and lets see. I know the DX7440 will do 64 second shots. I've always wished the DX6490 would.
