Nice shots, BigDwag-

It shows quite effectively what exposure compensation can do.

I really wish to apoligise for the blur in these photos there were things that got in the way of a good shot here. I posted them on easysharers and will post them here now. Thanks for all the kind words. This is in reply to Ian Middy talking about some shakiness he saw in the photos!

They were taken at half zoom and slow speed Ian. This a case of too big a hurry and not enough care. I was 5 minutes from leaving to get one of my cancer treatments when I looked out the window and saw this scene. So I grabbed the camera and hastily put it on the tripod went outside and set it up. Turned the camera on and saw I didn't have a card in it. Ran back inside and got the card then ran back outside and put it in. Set it up and turned it on then saw there were going to be power lines in the way so I got off my front porch and set it up in the front yard to miss the powerline. About that time I realised just how cold it was and I only had on a short sleeve shirt, so I ran back inside and got a jacket. When I came back out two of my grandchildren were waiting at the camera and asking what I was doing. (They were waiting on the school bus to pick them up). So between hugs and kisses and listening to what they were talking about and about this time hearing my wife shouting I was going to be late for my appointment I shot these. They looked pretty good on the LCD but turned out blurred on the monitor. I rushed them through and posted them anyway as I was now really late for my appointment. Sorry is all I can say and hope everyone forgives me. I've since been kicking myself for not doing a better job as that particular scene will not be repeated for some time! Ah well such is the life of a wannabe photog! Hope everyone else has a better day!! LOL

I pretty much like both of them, firstI went with the first then changed my mind and went with the second then back to the first. Now am completely undecided which I like the best. The moon with the powdery cloud color is great, but then I love the fire from beneath with the sunrise...Undecided, love um both! I thought I was the only one that missed out on the pefect shots, but as I look back on these I really dont think that you missed out!
